Hello my name is Oxford! I’m a six year old Scottish Fold cat who loves to sleep, eat, use my scratching post, and cuddle. I’m the sweetest, most affectionate cat you could ever meet, and I’m usually just a bundle of happiness. I’m also suffering from severe stomatitis, which is a disease that affects my gums and teeth. I’m in a lot of pain right now and I’m struggling to eat, so it’s vital that this be resolved medically as soon as possible.
The solution is dental surgery to remove my remaining teeth. I’m already missing many of them from my time as a stray and from a previous surgery that my humans took me in for, but they’re going to have to finish the job. It’s extreme, but with stomatitis as severe as mine it’s the only option. It should get rid of the pain, swelling, and infections, and I’ll be able to eat again comfortably after its all healed up (don’t worry, cats without teeth can generally eat their dry food just fine… which is good because I adore food).
Unfortunately my humans are having a lot of financial trouble right now. This hit at a very bad time for them. One of them missed most of work last month due to her own medical emergency, and we’re struggling hugely as is to pay the basic bills. These are unusual circumstances for them and usually they can afford to take care of me, but right now they can’t. Please consider donating what you can to help my humans get me the veterinary care I need. You can read more about me HERE.
Hello everyone. Oxford’s surgery CANNOT wait any longer. We’ve set an surgery appointment for Monday September ninth, and we really do need some funds before then. Oxford is the toughest kitty I know and he keeps soldiering on, even eating although it clearly pains him, but this needs to be done now. PLEASE consider donating to help Oxford’s care. If you can only donate a few bucks, that’s fine! If you can’t donate, SIGNAL BOOST. Oxford sends you all love and snuggles, no matter how you choose to help. We are extremely grateful for those who have donated so far, but we’re less than a third to our goal, so please do what you can. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
